In this collaborative discussion, my peers and I reflected on the role of emerging technologies in education and how they can transform student learning. Together, we explored questions about the benefits and challenges of implementation, the criteria for evaluating effectiveness, and the balance between traditional teaching and digital tools. We also discussed the potential of artificial intelligence to engage and motivate students, while recognizing the ethical concerns that must be considered when integrating AI into the classroom.
From this exchange, I learned the value of hearing different perspectives and experiences. Each contribution helped me broaden my understanding of how technology can be used with purpose and intention. I connected these ideas with my own innovation plan, Tech Time: My Time in Kindergarten, which aims to promote independence and collaboration among young learners through digital tools. This experience reminded me that while technology is powerful, its use must always be guided by pedagogy, ethics, and a focus on authentic student learning (American Psychological Association, 2020).
