Discovering New Tools: Expanding My Digital Teaching Toolbox

As part of my learning in EDLD 5303, I completed a project called Digital Resources, where I explored online tools, I had never used before. At first, I believed I already knew many of the tools available to educators, but this assignment showed me how much more there is when we step outside of our comfort zone and explore with intention.

I discovered creative platforms that support collaboration, interactive websites for early math and literacy, and AI-powered tools that help with planning, presentations, and student engagement. It was eye-opening to see how much is available and how important it is to keep learning and testing new ideas.

As a kindergarten teacher, I’m always searching for meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways to integrate technology into my classroom. This experience helped me grow as a digital learner and reminded me that sometimes, the best discoveries come from simply being curious.
